• The Tri-Lakes Cares Pantry supplies are dwindling.  Please consider a donation or conduct a food drive on our behalf.  Needed for the pantry: gluten-free rice and pasta, sugar free syrup, sugar free jelly, sugar free canned fruits, low salt items, peanut butter, jelly, syrump, boxed cereal, beef stew, crackers, tuna helper, feminine products, toilet paper, diapers, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent.  Thank you!

• Colorado Gives Day 2012 - Mark your calendar on December 4. 24-hour of giving.  Stay tuned for more details from the Community First Foundation and FirstBank, to be released in June. Click here for more information.

• THANK YOU to the Luther T. McCauley Charitable Trust for a $2,000 grant for the TLC School Supplies program. 

• THANK YOU to Energy Outreach Colorado for an additional $8,500 grant for clients who need assistance with paying their heating bills.

• May 14, 2012 - Oil Can Golf Tournament at the Kissing Camels Golf Course, Colorado Springs. Proceeds will benefit TLC. Click here to read more about this event.

• May 25, 2012 - Award-winning Native American group Brulé, will appear live, in concert, at 7:00 p.m. at the Palmer Ridge High School Auditorium.  The event is sponsored by the Palmer Lake Historical Society and One Nation Walking Together.Call 719.329.0251 or 719.481.3282 to purchase tickets.

• The 11th Annual Cruisers Benefit Car Show will be held on Sunday, June 10 from 10:00-3:00. See www.tlcruisers.org for more information. Proceeds will benefit TLC.

Buy It Forward

You can help stock our pantry by participating in our monthly Buy It Forward program at the Monument King Soopers! Just look for our packed and marked grocery bags in the front of the store on the first week-end of the month.  Each bag is priced between $5 - $7.  All you have to do is take one or more bags to the check-out stand, and your King Sooper's checker will add it to your purchase - and keep the bag for Tri-Lakes Cares.  This program is an easy way for you and your family to help out the needy in our community!
