Who Do We Serve?

We serve the State of Colorado El Paso County residents of the Tri-Lakes community (District 38), Gleneagle, and Air Force Academy. In most instances, if a household of individuals qualifies for the Federal Commodities Program (TFAP) they qualify for Tri-Lakes Cares programs.

 

Eligibility Requirements

Residents must have lived in the area for 45 days in order to qualify for emergency financial assistance.


 

Financial Assistance Requirements

Proof of income, or lack of income, is required. Tri-Lakes Cares assists people that fall within the TEFAP Income Eligibility Guidelines.

Tri-Lakes area residents seeking TLC services and assistance will need to provide the following:

1.  Proof of residence, such as a lease agreement or utility bill with your name or that of someone living in the household.

2.  Proof of all the people living in the home.

Accepted proof is only one of the following documents for each member:

  • Photo ID or
  • Medical card or
  • Social Security card or
  • Birth Certificate or
  • Proof of school enrollment

3.  Proof of income for all wage earners in the household 18 years or older will need to provide only one of the following:

  • Most recent paycheck stub or
  • 2 months of bank statements or
  • Proof of unemployment or
  • Proof of SSI or SSDI or
  • Proof of retirement
